COHIBA BEHIKE Cigars

Habanos S.A. revealed Cohiba's best kept secret in 2010, namely the birth of the super premium line Cohiba Behike. In addition to the Línea Clásica, the Línea 1492 and the Línea Maduro 5, Cohiba Behike has since formed the fourth series within the top brand Cohiba. The term Behike is an old term of the Taínos, the natives of Cuba. As medicine man and master of ceremonies, the Behike was the outstanding personality and spiritual leader of the tribe. The Behike series consists of the three exclusively launched formats BHK 52, BHK 54 and BHK 56. The numbers indicate the ring size of the cigars. Characteristic of these Vítolas is the famous braid at the head of the cigar, which is already known from the Coronas Especiales and Lanceros of the Línea Clásica.
Due to the limited availability of the tobaccos used, these cigars are only available in limited quantities. For the first time in the world of Cuban premium cigars, a fourth filler tobacco (Fortaleza 4) called Medio Tiempo is used for Cohiba Behike. It describes the two leaves at the top of tobacco plants that are grown in the open sun. However, not every plant develops these leaves and so, after careful selection and storage, only a limited amount is available for the production of Cohiba Behikes. When enjoying the cigars, the effect of the Medio Tiempo leaves is immediately apparent: they bring with them an enormous variety of aromas and pronounced strength that is unparalleled in the cigar world.
The Cohiba Behike Habanos are therefore primarily aimed at experienced and demanding aficionados. Only a selection of the best tobaccos from selected plantations in the regions of San Luis and San Juan y Martinez in the Vuelta Abajo is the basis for these special cigars. In the Cohiba factory El Laguito, a group of the best torcedores has been specially trained for the production of the cigars of the Línea Cohiba Behike.
The packaging and design of the Behike is also new and unique. They are only available in high-quality lacquered boxes of ten. The cigars feature a completely redesigned ring that features two holograms.
