Herman Upmann was a banker from Germany, who loved cuban cigars that much he resettled to Havana in 1844, where he acted as banker and cigar manufacturers. His bank had to be closed after 1920, but his cigars survived as an excellent example of a Habano with a mild to medium strong flavor.
All leaves of H.Upmanns originate from the tobacco region Vuelta Abajo.
In addition to the signature Upmanns eleven gold medals of international exhibitions during the 19th century adorn the boxes.
