Sancho Panza Cigars

Sancho Panza
As with other major Habanos brands, such as Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, the name Sancho Panza comes from a masterpiece of world literature. Sancho Panza is the loyal squire of the knight errant Don Quijote in the novel of the same name by Miguel de Cervantes, who is revered in Spain as the national poet. The first part was published in 1605 and is still considered one of the best books in world literature. The name Sancho Panza was first used to designate a Habano in 1848 and the brand has enjoyed an excellent reputation among experienced aficionados ever since. The brand was founded by a German named Emil Ohmstedt, who is said to have been the obstetrician of the El Rey del Mundo brand. In the 1950s, Sancho Panza was one of the most popular Habanos brands in Spain. To this day, cigars are said to have great aging potential.
Today the range only includes two cigars. With their medium-strong mixture of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo tobacco cultivation zone, all formats are totalmente a mano, tripa larga - completely hand-made long fillers.
