It was THE birthday cigar for the 50th anniversary of the Cohiba brand - the Cohiba Medio Siglo. "Siglo" means "century" in Spanish and represents the time that has passed since Christopher Columbus discovered America. As is well known, tobacco came to Europe along with other innovations.
The new Cohiba Medio Siglo combines the length of the Siglo I (102 mm) with the large ring gauge of the Siglo VI (52). It is therefore a trendy "short smoke" and inspires cigar lovers with fine aromas and medium strength. The duration of enjoyment is about half an hour. The Cohiba Medio Siglo is the first new format in this line since 2002, when the Cohiba Siglo VI was introduced, which has quickly become a modern classic.
The noble long filler consists of a selection of the best tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo, the home of the tobacco, which is among the best in the world. The tobaccos used for Cohiba cigars only grow in the five best Vegas de Primera (top quality tobacco plantations) in the San Juan y Martinez and San Luis growing areas.
