Partagás Cedros Year of the Snake
The Partagás Cedros are the sixth format of Habanos on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. Once again, a completely new format was created for this edition: the “Dignos” with a length of 135 mm and a ring size of 50. This exclusive edition celebrates the “Year of the (Wood) Snake”. According to the Chinese lunar calendar, the queue stands for qualities such as wisdom and the wood for strength and growth. Undoubtedly a perfect opportunity to appreciate the fundamental role played by such a noble material as (cedar) wood throughout history in preserving the flavors and organoleptic properties of Habanos.
The impressive cigar of the traditional brand Partagás is packaged in shiny boxes in red and gold, the typical colors of the Chinese New Year. The lid of the sweepingly designed box is therefore provided with a structure that reminds of the scales of the snake skin. At the foot of the cigar, a second ring is attached, which represents the snake logo. Since the number 8 in China has a special meaning as a lucky number, each box contains eighteen pieces of these fine cigars. The shape of the box is reminiscent of Asian temple buildings. The cigar boxes are equipped with an NFC chip on the inside of the lid.
The taste profile of the Partagás Cedros remains true to the brand and offers a strong and fully aromatic mixture. This product, by the way, not only celebrates the Chinese New Year, but also honours the rich history of the Partagás brand, which has been a benchmark for quality and prestige in the cigar industry for 180 years. Only 18,888 individually numbered boxes are available worldwide. A plaque with this number is mounted on the inside of the lid. The cigars are rolled out of carefully selected top tobaccos of the Vuelta Abajo growing region in Pinar del Río. The production is “totalmente a mano” – as a completely handmade longfiller.
