For the twelfth time in a row, Davidoff is celebrating Chinese New Year with a specially created cigar. The Year of the Dragon Limited Edition 2024 raises the bar for luxury products even higher with its elegant box of ten Double Corona cigars. The entire top of the box features an iridescent painted dragon scale pattern. The powerful Year of the Dragon symbol in the center holds a pearl, which in Chinese culture symbolizes wisdom, prosperity and good luck.
Inside the box there is a wooden tray with two compartments for the cigars, separated by a red silk ribbon. It symbolizes the dragon's tongue. The exclusive series is limited to 19,500 boxes worldwide, of which 1,570 boxes will be available in Germany.
The mighty dragon requires an equal format. With a blend of 8 types of tobacco, this cigar is the greatest creation of all previous “Year of” editions. The Double Corona features an eye-catching foot ring that covers the uncut part of the cigar. This allows aficionados to enjoy the first 2 cm without the wrapper, creating a fascinating play of flavors and visualizing the fire-breathing dragon. Notes of earth, wood and herbs are present. Then the taste changes to rich aromas of nuts, cream and
Licorice. The intensity increases and notes of sweet honey, white pepper and citrus dominate. In the final third, notes of fresh spice and oak complete the dominant aroma of dark chocolate.
