Like a journey into past eras, this small batch combines the fascination of oriental tobaccos with the craftsmanship of classic English blends and invites you to rediscover the magic of a long-gone era pipe for pipe. Palmetto Balkan combines carefully matured oriental tobacco with selected Carolina Red Virginias and a specially refined Turkish Latakia to create an exceptionally harmonious English blend. The spicy-floral nuances of the Basma and Prilep tobacco meet the natural sweetness of the matured Virginias, while the Latakia contributes an elegant smoky that recalls the legendary Syrian blends of bygone times. Notes of noble wood smoke, dark berries, oriental spices and a discreet wine-like depth unfold in the course of smoke to a multi-layered taste experience. A small fraction of Black Cavendish gently rounds off the blend and ensures a smooth balance that underlines the medium-bodied character of this extraordinary composition.
