A tribute to 230 years of tobacco tradition In 1795, the Royal Tobacco Factory of Copán was opened in Santa Rosa de los Llanos – today’s Santa Rosa de Copán. It dated back to a royal decree of the Spanish crown from 1765, which ordered the establishment of a tobacco factory, which henceforth set prices, distributed seeds and regulated the entire tobacco production in the region. This laid the foundation for a tobacco tradition that was inherited from the pre-Columbian cultures and is still alive today. In honor of the 230th anniversary of this historic factory, Flor de Copán now presents the exclusive Edición Limitada 1795. The cigars are made "hecho a mano" - by hand - and are characterized by their elegant format with a length of 157 mm and a ring size of 42. The Grupo de Maestros in the La Flor de Copán Manufaktur in Santa Rosa de Copán is responsible for the composition of the tobacco. The tobacco leaves of this Edición come from Honduras, Nicaragua and Ecuador. The flavor profile of the cigars is characterized by roasting and wood aromas, accompanied by shades of dried fruits and fine spice. In the course of approximately one hour of smoke, notes of roasted nuts, coffee, almond, cinnamon and pepper unfold – a complex aroma profile that reflects the centuries-old tobacco tradition of the Santa Rosa de Copán region. The Flor de Copán 1795 Limited Edition is published in Germany with a circulation of 600 boxes
