One of my all time favorites, perhaps with a bias of nostalgic feelings. When opening the tin you are greeted with an alluring fragrant scent of sweet dried fruit and an elusive hint of mysterious spice. The smoke is velvet smooth and pleasant, at first the familiar black cherry kiss of Cavendish tobacco. Nothing truly out of the ordinary so far, but wait: Before reaching midway you start noting a wonderful nuttiness along with the Cavendish cherries and plums. I taste cotton candy, toasted coconut, and that hint of foreign spice. I love it!

Hello, I am not a fervent of the Burley and Kentucky but rather of Virginia like for example the regretted HH Pure Virginia by Mac Baren. However, the Director’s Cut from HU Tobacco is a very well balanced blend that offers in turn exquisite sweet flavors. A panoply that delights the taste buds without assaulting them. Bonjour, Une recette totalement ratée ! Probablement en raison de la présence du black Cavendish. Seuls le Virginie et le Périque auraient pu donner un meilleur résultat. D'ailleurs, le concurrent Peterson l'a très bien compris avec son Navy Rolls de Luxe qui, lui, est vraiment réussi.

For me this is a complex yet easy going virgina forward blend with great depth and a natural sweetness that weaves itself in and out of the smoke like a voluptuous ghost woman. It smokes cooler than any other tobacco I've tried and burns evenly. Hands down the best Virginia I've tried so far. Absolutely sublime.
